NEWS
Sea and Beach News:
The Republic of Cuba is a country composed mainly of 2 large islands, the island of Cuba and the Isle of Youth (Isla de la Juventud in Spanish) and a multitude of small islands. Geographically, Cuba is the island in the extreme North-West Caribbean at the intersection of the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
Cuba has just over 11 million inhabitants and is approximately 111 000 km2. Havana is the capital and spanish is the official language.

With its equatorial climate, its 3700 km of coastline, the water temperature averaging 24°C in winter and 30°C in summer and its beautiful beaches, Cuba is a small paradise to spend holidays on the brink of the Sea.

Cayo Coco
Playa Pilar (Pilar Beach)Cayo Coco is a small island in the centre of the northern part of Cuba (Part Atlantic Ocean). The island is connected by a long dyke of 30 km to the continent (a toll is at the entrance of the dyke). You'll find several beautiful white sand beaches with sea blue water very clear. Yes Cayo Coco is magnificent.

There is some others islands (Cayo Jutias, Cayo Levisas...) smaller and similar to Cayo Coco to see.

Havana, Guanabo and the East beaches (Playas del Este)
View of GuanaboHavana is the capital of Cuba. The city count just over 2 million inhabitants. The colonial style architecture of the city is really extraordinary (unfortunately it was not keep alive) and were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Located on the north coast of Cuba, Havana has a long boulevard called the "Malecon" which runs along the Atlantic Ocean. It is very pleasant to walk on this road, because on a hand, you have old long wall protecting the boulevard to the waves and in the other hand beautiful houses dating from the colonial period.

There is no beach in Havana city, but if you move to the East you will find the East beaches (Las playas del Este in Spanish). At 30 km toward the East from the capital, you'll find Guanabo, a small town where there is the last East beach. This beach is very popular with people living in Havana in summer.

Varadero
Varadero Beach (North)Varadero is a very tourist destination and only a tourist destination because it is not allow to Cuban people to access to Varadero (exept for the employees working on the place).

Varadero is located on the Hicacos Peninsula, 140 km in east of Havana in Atlantic Ocean side. This peninsula is maximum 1 Km wide and 20 Km long. 20 Km with white sandy beaches along a sea water very clear. The beaches are beautiful, but unfortunately the landscape is marred by the presence of many hotels and other tourist facilities. Note that there is a toll to access on the peninsula.

Trinidad
Playa AnconTrinidad city count 45 000 inhabitants and is located beside the South Caribbean Sea. This charming city is known for its historic colonial architecture city centre. It were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Few kilometres in the south of Trinidad there is the Ancon beach (playa Ancon). This brown sand beach, bordered by palm trees, is really beautiful and not too crowded. To see absolutely during your visit to Cuba.
